After a defensive mix-up in Terra FC's zone, Abelardo Montes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damaso Montae came out of the goal and Abelardo Montes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberto Quinten's late challenge caught a IVFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Quinten helped the player get up and apologised. IVFC's Higinio Fagildo was substituted for Segundo Estevez. The supporters of IVFC booed when Terra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Quinten didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Juan Francesco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osvaldo Donio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, IVFC's Ruben Luix got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Herminio Kismi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Osvaldo Donio. IVFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Abelardo Montes came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the IVFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abelardo Montes couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leopoldo Ofelio was the one to do the kick off. Abelardo Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute of the match Rogelio Ferrer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Osvaldo Donio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. IVFC's Osvaldo Donio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Quinten in the 60th minute of play. Terra FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Herminio Kismi in the 64th minute. After a rather tough play, Terra FC's Paulino Osoro got a free kick in the 65th minute. Alberto Quinten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd match minute, Terra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogelio Ferrer to maneuver through the defense. Ruben Luix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
