Bernardino Phelipe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Urbano Elequemedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Osvaldo Donio made a huge save. Carolo Tabby charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carolo Tabby the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Osvaldo Donio was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Carolo Tabby. In the 20th minute of the match, Ceferino Kelemen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Osvaldo Donio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 33 minutes of play Trebolares's Carolo Tabby was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of Trebolares:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of IVFC:s goal. Tomas Urdaspal walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 38 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Ofelio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bernardino Phelipe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ricardo Primo's late challenge caught a Trebolares's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Primo helped the player get up and apologised. Abelardo Montes struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Bernardino Phelipe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IVFC. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leopoldo Ofelio was the one to do the kick off. If Urbano Elequemedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 59 played minutes, Trebolares's Ceferino Kelemen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Osvaldo Donio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Trebolares reached it. In the 59th match minute, IVFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Montes to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in IVFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! 73 minutes into the game, Trebolares's Urbano Elequemedo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Osvaldo Donio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 79 minutes into the match, Trebolares's Urbano Elequemedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Osvaldo Donio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Abelardo Montes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to IVFC getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Raimundo Modestio hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Trebolares lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
