If Iker Rodriguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 38 minutes, Celso Esquipula managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calilegua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Esquipula was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in MIAMI SOL F.C.'s zone, Celso Esquipula stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiburcio Abar came out of the goal and Celso Esquipula tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iker Rodriguez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celso Esquipula to make the kick off. If Celso Esquipula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iker Rodriguez hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 63rdth minute of the game Celso Esquipula who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MIAMI SOL F.C.'s Tiburcio Abar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Celso Esquipula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Abar having to interfere. 66 minutes into the game, Iker Rodriguez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Tiburcio Abar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 70th minute Celso Esquipula shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Abar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiburcio Abar acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 80th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Josías González. 86 minutes into the match, Calilegua's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Janpier came free, but Benito Meder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Meder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Estebano in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Estebano in the 94th minute of play forced Calilegua's goalkeeper Benito Meder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
