Innatalidad's Isidro Gonsalvo got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, Innatalidad's goal looked a bit too open when Saverio Lartaun came free, but Elpidio Buinton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Deportivo Balvanera booed when Innatalidad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Furman didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Asier's late challenge caught a Deportivo Balvanera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. If Isidro Gonsalvo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Balvanera's zone, Celso Cerilo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albano Gudesteo came out of the goal and Celso Cerilo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isidro Gonsalvo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Albano Gudesteo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Innatalidad's goalkeeper Elpidio Buinton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Saverio Lartaun. Isidro Gonsalvo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albano Gudesteo having to make a save. The Deportivo Balvanera players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Innatalidad from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
