After 17 minutes of play, Giant Killing's Vladimiro Donzel made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. When Roman Enmanuel came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Rexas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roman Enmanuel couldn't finish the play. If Roman Enmanuel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean-Charles Graffin came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Rexas FC's Mauro Romano. But to his dismay, Mauro Romano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The supporters of Giant Killing booed when Rexas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Cai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauro Romano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Jean-Charles Graffin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Giant Killing getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Bernardo Hotz hit a great ball. Mauro Romano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Giant Killing had won after a very even match.
