Teofilo Cristofol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gervasio Quintun got free with Teofilo Cristofol in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dionisio Duardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Teofilo Cristofol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 29 played minutes Romeo Rivas rounded River fc's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Teofilo Cristofol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeo Rivas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Romeo Rivas notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of River fc's Teofilo Cristofol. In the 87th minute Tomás Hats managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Teofilo Cristofol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Rivas, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Romeo Rivas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Cristofol having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Inter Miami FC had played much better football throughout.
