After a defensive mix-up in Mendieta's zone, Hermengildo Guzman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltasar Raymon came out of the goal and Hermengildo Guzman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Felipe Chaime sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baltasar Raymon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidio Lonzo in the 12th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Mendieta's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Venceslas came free, but Baltasar Raymon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Hermengildo Guzman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ovidio Lonzo took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baltasar Raymon. Baltasar Raymon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Gustavo Venceslas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hermengildo Guzman scored 0-4 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Baltasar Raymon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Guido Tiadoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baltasar Raymon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermengildo Guzman in the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Venceslas in the 33rd minute of play forced Mendieta's goalkeeper Baltasar Raymon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hermengildo Guzman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Baltasar Raymon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ovidio Lonzo in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baltasar Raymon saved Mendieta from getting behind. Mendieta's Baltasar Raymon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Guzman in the 42nd minute of play. Guido Tiadoro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baltasar Raymon having to make a save. When Hermengildo Guzman came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the capt fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermengildo Guzman couldn't finish the play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. capt fc's Gustavo Venceslas got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gustavo Venceslas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 0-5 became the score in the 52nd minute when Gustavo Venceslas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ovidio Lonzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltasar Raymon having to interfere. Hermengildo Guzman struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Baltasar Raymon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for capt fc. In the 63rd minute, Hermengildo Guzman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Baltasar Raymon. The goal made the score 0-6. In the 65th minute Gustavo Venceslas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltasar Raymon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Ovidio Lonzo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
