An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Rudolfo in the 38th minute of play forced Thames's goalkeeper Samuel Macerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 40 minutes, Agustin Chago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cumbia Cerveza y River's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustin Chago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Agustin Chago's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Samuel Macerio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Conrado Rudolfo to strike the kick off in the second half. Samuel Macerio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Rudolfo in the 52nd minute of the match. Conrado Rudolfo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Macerio having to interfere. Teo Pes charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teo Pes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th match minute, Cumbia Cerveza y River was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teo Pes to maneuver through the defense. Samuel Macerio didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Cumbia Cerveza y River's Agustin Chago shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. After 82 played minutes Cumbia Cerveza y River got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Cresconio. 87 minutes into the match, Thames's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Chago came free, but Samuel Macerio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Thames players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
