Amador Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Campo Grande's Amado Escobar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Feliberto Berenguer. That made the score 1-0 after 28 minutes of play. Isidoro Llorian's late challenge caught a Campo Grande's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isidoro Llorian helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th play minute Eusebio Distiratsu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Feliberto Berenguer. 2-0. Campo Grande's Eusebio Distiratsu got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rene Uzuri hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute, Rene Uzuri made a precise shot to the right of Amador Lopes. Campo Grande's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 46th minute Romulo Etxepare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amador Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 47 minutes, Eusebio Distiratsu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Campo Grande's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusebio Distiratsu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusebio Distiratsu during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Manuel Pabla's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Amador Lopes firmly grabbed it by the left post. Amador Lopes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. IMPRESENTABLES FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
