Ladislao Gil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Elizardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, La banda River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Elizardo came free, but Ladislao Gil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Jonas Txaran notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of La banda River Plate's Ladislao Gil. Ladislao Gil was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. CA Villa Cipolletti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benicio Mannie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Lorenzo Dalmau managed to get in a good position for a shot. La banda River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Lorenzo Dalmau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matias Dunixi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
