Romeo Gaspard stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benicio Mannie's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. After 13 played minutes, La banda River Plate's Abelardo Cibran shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Romeo Gaspard came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La banda River Plate reached it. If Benicio Mannie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, La banda River Plate's Jaime Patrido got a free kick in the 21st minute. Melchor Hartz struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Ladislao Gil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Talitos Futbol Club. When Melchor Hartz came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Talitos Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melchor Hartz couldn't finish the play. La banda River Plate's Benicio Mannie got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Talitos Futbol Club booed when La banda River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Patrido didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Melchor Hartz made a kick off. Teobaldo Eudoxio kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, La banda River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Melchor Hartz came free, but Ladislao Gil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 58 minutes, Benicio Mannie made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Talitos Futbol Club's Romeo Gaspard tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 66 minutes into the game, Zacarias Gipuzkoa threw the ball into play from the sideline. La banda River Plate's Mauricio Jeraldo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Romeo Gaspard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benicio Mannie in the 67th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Eleuterio Calisto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talitos Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Eleuterio Calisto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ladislao Gil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 82nd minute Melchor Hartz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislao Gil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Teobaldo Eudoxio could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Ladislao Gil however easily saved by the left post. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. La banda River Plate had played much better football throughout.
