The supporters of Real Suciedad booed when Devoto Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Tolino didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Generoso Bernaldo got free in front of the goal in the 10th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Ariel Dominix was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Rigoberto Garin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Ariel Dominix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucio Checa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rigoberto Pagomari in the 18th minute of the match. Ariel Dominix stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Generoso Bernaldo's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute, Generoso Bernaldo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Devoto Fc's Florencio Sindo got a free kick in the 26th minute. Jaime Ospetsu struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Ariel Dominix didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Suciedad. Rigoberto Pagomari was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 29th minute. Devoto Fc's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Generoso Bernaldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31 minutes of play Devoto Fc's Albano Luzea was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Devoto Fc getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Albano Luzea hit a great ball. Devoto Fc's Ariel Dominix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Generoso Bernaldo in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Generoso Bernaldo had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 41 minutes, Leon Milio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Devoto Fc and the Real Suciedad players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave Real Suciedad a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jonathan Colas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Devoto Fc's Ariel Dominix. 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pascual Honrio was the one to do the kick off. Jaime Ospetsu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Dominix having to interfere. Jaime Ospetsu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Ariel Dominix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ariel Dominix came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Real Suciedad's Jaime Ospetsu. But to his dismay, Jaime Ospetsu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in Devoto Fc's zone, Pascual Honrio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ariel Dominix came out of the goal and Pascual Honrio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Real Suciedad's Pascual Honrio in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Devoto Fc's goalie prevented a goal. Rigoberto Garin might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ariel Dominix. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rigoberto Garin ran back to his position shaking his head. Ariel Dominix made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pascual Honrio in the 78th minute. With his leg Ariel Dominix managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Real Suciedad's Pascual Honrio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 92nd match minute, Devoto Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Pagomari to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Ariel Dominix managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Real Suciedad's Pascual Honrio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Rigoberto Garin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Real Suciedad could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Devoto Fc throughout the match.
