The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Pascual Tolino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Jayvier was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Devoto Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pascual Tolino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute, Segundo Bembe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Jayvier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascual Tolino, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the match, Los Faisanes's Oscar Benvido sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ariel Dominix narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oscar Benvido got free with Ariel Dominix in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabricio Matia's late challenge caught a Los Faisanes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabricio Matia helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th minute, Oscar Benvido got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pascual Tolino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Jayvier having to interfere. Gustavo Garaile charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustavo Garaile the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Los Faisanes:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Devoto Fc:s goal. In the 38th minute there was a penalty for Devoto Fc. Leonel Berenguer stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alberto Jayvier. 0-1. In the 45th minute Efrain Erlantz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Dominix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Los Faisanes players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Devoto Fc were winning 0-1.

If Rigoberto Pagomari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Efrain Erlantz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Ariel Dominix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62ndth minute of the game Rigoberto Pagomari who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Faisanes's Alberto Jayvier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rigoberto Pagomari recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celedonio Victoro kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Rigoberto Pagomari managed to get in a good position for a shot. Devoto Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Rigoberto Pagomari was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Jayvier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 93 minutes into the game, Celedonio Victoro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Faisanes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Devoto Fc the free kick. After a rather tough play, Los Faisanes's Celedonio Victoro got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Pascual Tolino took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alberto Jayvier. Alberto Jayvier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Devoto Fc eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
