An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Ceandro in the 18th minute of play forced Villanueba F.C's goalkeeper Prudencio Remigio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute Sebastian Ceandro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prudencio Remigio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aquilino Diagur made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Silvano Fagondo sent off a good shot on target. Los 33 Orientales's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Villanueba F.C the free kick. The referee showed Dario Tono the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Los 33 Orientales getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Dario Tono hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Los 33 Orientales's zone, Ermegildo Montel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquilino Diagur came out of the goal and Ermegildo Montel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Godfredo Lucian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Aquilino Diagur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Silvano Fagondo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Villanueba F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A collision led to Villanueba F.C getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Silvio Weather hit a great ball. Los 33 Orientales's Aquilino Diagur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Los 33 Orientales from getting a goal against them. If Sebastian Ceandro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dario Tono stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Prudencio Remigio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Ceandro in the 52nd minute. Silvano Fagondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th match minute, Los 33 Orientales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Candido Tonete to maneuver through the defense. Sebastian Ceandro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Prudencio Remigio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute of the match Faustino Soter shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aquilino Diagur showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sebastian Ceandro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Prudencio Remigio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Silvano Fagondo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Villanueba F.C's Prudencio Remigio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Tono in the 81st minute of play. A collision led to Villanueba F.C getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Santos Laurgain hit a great ball. If Silvano Fagondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Los 33 Orientales players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Villanueba F.C.
