The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Domingo Unai to strike the kick off in the second half. Olivier Khan was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Epifanio Stephen. In the 58th minute, Aloisio Abrego got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th minute Benjamin Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Stephen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aloisio Abrego struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Eduardo Stephen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A. Vodka Juniors.
