The tension between the Phoenix and the Tejeda players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 13 played minutes Phoenix got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Criston. When Tejeda's Primitivo Heriberto in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Aquilino Udalaitz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Julio Frechoso hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 26th match minute, Tejeda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Heriberto to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Teobaldo Lartaun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Alejo Colas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Phoenix's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejo Colas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benigno Celio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Alejo Colas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Phoenix's Claudio Furman got a free kick in the 57th minute. Phoenix's Aquilino Udalaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Primitivo Heriberto in the 60th minute of play. Primitivo Heriberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Primitivo Heriberto came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Tejeda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Primitivo Heriberto couldn't finish the play. Primitivo Heriberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aquilino Udalaitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Primitivo Heriberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aquilino Udalaitz was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Phoenix getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Alejo Colas hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the match, Tejeda's goal looked a bit too open when Alejo Colas came free, but Benigno Celio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Many of Phoenix's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Phoenix may have spent more time on the ball, but Tejeda were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
