Gervasio Nahia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Bernabe Confesor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 8 minutes of play, Mulcahy's Gabriel Erasto made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aquilino Udalaitz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 12 minutes into the match, Phoenix's goal looked a bit too open when Inocencio Lamberto came free, but Aquilino Udalaitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Constantino Normando made a precise shot to the right of Aquilino Udalaitz. Phoenix's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Aquilino Udalaitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Claude in the 16th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Phoenix's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Erasto came free, but Aquilino Udalaitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aquilino Udalaitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Mulcahy's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Claudio Furman scored to the left of an out of position Bernabe Confesor, making the score, 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantino Normando in the 42nd minute of play forced Phoenix's goalkeeper Aquilino Udalaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raimundo Claude scored 1-5 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aquilino Udalaitz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

Aquilino Udalaitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inocencio Lamberto in the 55th minute of play. In the 58thth minute of the game Gabriel Erasto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Phoenix's Aquilino Udalaitz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 63rd minute, Constantino Normando reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aquilino Udalaitz. The goal made the score 1-6. The supporters of Phoenix booed when Mulcahy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Erasto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aquilino Udalaitz made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Gabriel Erasto sent off a good shot on target. Phoenix's Gervasio Nahia got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Mulcahy's zone, Gervasio Nahia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernabe Confesor came out of the goal and Gervasio Nahia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gervasio Nahia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernabe Confesor having to interfere. With a little luck, Phoenix's Aquilino Udalaitz got control of the ball when Raimundo Claude tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Mulcahy players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
