Portezuelo FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Marco Firmo scored to the left of an out of position Aurelio Edorta, making the score, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Humberto Iliana got free with Aurelio Edorta in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th match minute, Portezuelo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santos Otsando to maneuver through the defense. If Marco Firmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Firmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiburcio Confesor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Cheche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Frichoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Tiburcio Confesor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Marco Firmo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Edorta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martin Frichoso in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiburcio Confesor saved La Chelita from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Frichoso in the 33rd minute of play forced La Chelita's goalkeeper Tiburcio Confesor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. La Chelita's Alonzo Hermelando got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabian Natal kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Portezuelo FC's zone, Nestor Valiente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelio Edorta came out of the goal and Nestor Valiente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aurelio Edorta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Firmo in the 44th minute of play. After a rather tough play, La Chelita's Alfonso Lop got a free kick in the 47th minute. Tiburcio Confesor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Cheche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Clemente Cheche made the kick off in the second half. Tiburcio Confesor was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Martin Frichoso showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 54 minute of play. After a rather tough play, La Chelita's Nestor Valiente got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute, Gaudencio Esquipula sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and La Chelita's Tiburcio Confesor didn't even have to move. The crowd rose to their feet as Portezuelo FC's Clemente Cheche slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tiburcio Confesor. That made the score 2-2 after 64 minutes of play. Clemente Cheche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Confesor having to interfere. Portezuelo FC's Aurelio Edorta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Iliana in the 72nd minute of play. Alonzo Hermelando charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alonzo Hermelando the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alonzo Hermelando kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Martin Frichoso in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tiburcio Confesor, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, La Chelita's Elias Oso got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Humberto Iliana might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aurelio Edorta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Humberto Iliana ran back to his position shaking his head. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
