Cymbaline's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Denis Torres ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Eliseo Hibai got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 2-1. 38 minutes into the match. A collision led to Villarreal F.C getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Albino Mateo hit a great ball. Amancio Rojelio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teodoro Turi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angel Ceandro to strike the kick off in the second half. Adan Danel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Modesto Cutberto made a huge save. Villarreal F.C's Modesto Cutberto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Villarreal F.C from getting a goal against them. Cymbaline's Adan Danel got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teodoro Turi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Hibai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adan Danel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Villarreal F.C's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
