Laureano Tallia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Higinio Baraquiel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Federico Galsino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Higinio Baraquiel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 11th minute, Eusebio Rexino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. El Funecito de Ortega's Federico Loi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Lixandro in the 16th minute of play. Laureano Tallia might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Higinio Baraquiel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laureano Tallia ran back to his position shaking his head. Ildefonso Aurre hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Bernardo Lixandro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Federico Loi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samuel Cebo struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Federico Loi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curupayti. Bernardo Lixandro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Federico Loi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute Bernardo Lixandro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Loi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Laureano Tallia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Laureano Tallia made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Curupayti got a freekick which was hit by Celso Amor. After a defensive mix-up in Curupayti's zone, Federico Galsino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Higinio Baraquiel came out of the goal and Federico Galsino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Higinio Baraquiel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laureano Tallia, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Laureano Tallia notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Curupayti's Higinio Baraquiel. Higinio Baraquiel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the last second Federico Loi throw himself and got hold of the ball when Samuel Cebo in the 67thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Bernardo Lixandro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Loi having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Curupayti's Samuel Cebo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 75th minute, Amadeo Norino reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Federico Loi. The goal made the score 1-2. Bernardo Lixandro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Loi having to interfere. If Bernardo Lixandro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, El Funecito de Ortega's Cirilo Ubendu got a free kick in the 83rd minute. When Federico Galsino came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the El Funecito de Ortega fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Galsino couldn't finish the play. 95 minutes into the match, El Funecito de Ortega's Laureano Tallia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Higinio Baraquiel narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
