After 14 played minutes Defensores del Acha got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Pirmin. When Melquiades Nardo came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Defensores del Acha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melquiades Nardo couldn't finish the play. Paolo Cordarin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Baudelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. A collision led to Defensores del Acha getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Tobias Botello hit a great ball. Paolo Cordarin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteve Pueblo in the 26th minute of play. If Guillermo Pirmin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Jatsu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melquiades Nardo in the 37th minute of play. Guillermo Pirmin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Siro Demesio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paolo Cordarin having to interfere. Oscar Rufio kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Paolo Cordarin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Baudelio in the 47th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Melquiades Nardo made a kick off. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ibicuy AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anier Argoitz was slow to take the kick. During this time Defensores del Acha's players had a chance to rest. Defensores del Acha's Fabian Vincente was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bruno Jatsu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Melquiades Nardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Jatsu having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ibicuy AFC's Bernabe Selmo got a free kick in the 57th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Ibicuy AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Pirmin came free, but Bruno Jatsu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Ibicuy AFC defense, Melquiades Nardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Jatsu. The Ibicuy AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Jatsu should have stopped the shot. Bruno Jatsu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillermo Pirmin, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibicuy AFC's goalkeeper Bruno Jatsu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillermo Pirmin in the 73rd minute of play forced Ibicuy AFC's goalkeeper Bruno Jatsu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Defensores del Acha fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ibicuy AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
