Spectators: 6810 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eduardo Maurin started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Morse's Baldomero Ado got a free kick in the 4th minute. Mario Edorta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Eusko having to interfere. In the 12th match minute, Morse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Marin to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the match, Morse's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Maurin came free, but Marcial Estefan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Beruti AFC's goalkeeper Alfonso Eusko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Beruti AFC booed when Morse was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santiago Mano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Venancio Lesardo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beruti AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Morse the free kick. Venancio Lesardo hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Mario Edorta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Eusko having to interfere. Alfonso Eusko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Kelemen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Morse were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Maurin in the 54th minute of play forced Morse's goalkeeper Marcial Estefan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 56 played minutes Beruti AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lino Vigil. 57 minutes into the match, Morse's Romulo Calixto broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Narciso Kelemen's late challenge caught a Beruti AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Narciso Kelemen helped the player get up and apologised. Alfonso Eusko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Kelemen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Froilan Ticho during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Narciso Kelemen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lino Vigil hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Mario Edorta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Morse's supporters rose to their feet, but Mario Edorta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfonso Eusko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mario Edorta's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Alfonso Eusko skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Fernando Marin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alfonso Eusko came out and tried to block the shot, but Fernando Marin slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 85th minute. In the 88th minute, Fernando Marin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee felt a red card was in order, 90 minutes into the game, when Silvano Quinten put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of Morse:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Beruti AFC:s goal. Froilan Ticho got his second yellow card in the match during the 95th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 96 played minutes Beruti AFC got a freekick which was hit by Froilan Ticho. When the match was over Morse could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Beruti AFC throughout the match.
