The player immediately received a yellow card. Santos Feo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melchor Cugat in the 8th minute of play. When Hilario Arnas was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 8 minutes had been played. Alonzo Bibiano was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jorge Raitin hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Melchor Cugat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rigoberto Leocadio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anacleto Serapio having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Rigoberto Leocadio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anacleto Serapio. Potrerillos AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rigoberto Leocadio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 21st match minute, Suripugio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualterio Jaen to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Segundo Dacio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Potrerillos AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Segundo Dacio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santos Feo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Santos Feo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Segundo Dacio went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melchor Cugat in the 30th minute of play forced Suripugio's goalkeeper Santos Feo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Juan Errando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute, Segundo Dacio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rigoberto Leocadio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Anacleto Serapio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Suripugio's Rigoberto Leocadio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anacleto Serapio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Melchor Cugat to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Juan Errando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Suripugio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Errando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Potrerillos AFC's Anacleto Serapio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Leocadio in the 55th minute of play. If Melchor Cugat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the game, Gualterio Jaen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Suripugio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Potrerillos AFC the free kick. The supporters of Potrerillos AFC booed when Suripugio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualterio Jaen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Suripugio's zone, Melchor Cugat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santos Feo came out of the goal and Melchor Cugat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Rigoberto Leocadio came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Suripugio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rigoberto Leocadio couldn't finish the play. Segundo Dacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Feo having to interfere. When Melchor Cugat came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Potrerillos AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melchor Cugat couldn't finish the play. Segundo Dacio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Victor Estebe could shoot a difficult shot in the 94th minute, which Santos Feo however easily saved by the left post. Suripugio's Rigoberto Leocadio got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
