The shot was a little too simple and Zacarias Loiola could save by the left post. 9 minutes into the game, Adolfo Urki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TontoEnLaCaja's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Voluntad FC the free kick. If Eusebio Pepillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carmelo Nerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Policarpio, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Zacarias Loiola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baldomero Nalo in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Pepillo in the 31st minute of play forced Voluntad FC's goalkeeper Carmelo Nerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eleuterio Piearres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in TontoEnLaCaja's zone, Santiago Bazil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zacarias Loiola came out of the goal and Santiago Bazil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 46 minutes into the game, TontoEnLaCaja's Eusebio Pepillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carmelo Nerio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A hard shot 52 in the game by Eleuterio Piearres from a close distance when the talented Carmelo Nerio managed to make a qualified save. Voluntad FC's players were relieved. Voluntad FC's Carmelo Nerio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Voluntad FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of TontoEnLaCaja booed when Voluntad FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santiago Bazil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carmelo Nerio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Pepillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Voluntad FC's Carmelo Nerio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Voluntad FC from getting a goal against them. When Eleuterio Piearres came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the TontoEnLaCaja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eleuterio Piearres couldn't finish the play. When the match was over TontoEnLaCaja could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Voluntad FC throughout the match.
