When Ceferino Ongile fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored More Than Words's protests and gave Ceferino Ongile a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Frontera FC booed when More Than Words was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceferino Ongile didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eustacio Baumar kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in More Than Words's zone, Benigno Quirce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Candido Kismi came out of the goal and Benigno Quirce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Candido Kismi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benigno Quirce in the 11th minute of play. Nestor Loi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ceferino Ongile got his second yellow card in the match during the 15th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Ceferino Ongile hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, More Than Words's Eustacio Baumar got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Laureano Iyan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Frontera FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to More Than Words getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Eustacio Baumar hit a great ball. Laureano Iyan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benigno Quirce in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Candido Kismi saved More Than Words from getting behind. Gavino Clis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Romeo Ler made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benigno Quirce in the 43rd minute of play forced More Than Words's goalkeeper Candido Kismi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benigno Quirce struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Candido Kismi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Frontera FC. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gavino Clis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Frontera FC's Romeo Ler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavino Clis in the 52nd minute of play. Natalio Urdaspal kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Laureano Iyan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Candido Kismi made a huge save. Laureano Iyan in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Candido Kismi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 70th minute, Jorge Vigil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 73 minutes, Benigno Quirce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frontera FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benigno Quirce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benigno Oton kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Frontera FC's Cristobal Afonso tried to score from far away in the 76th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 77 played minutes More Than Words got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Baumar. In the 78th minute, Benigno Quirce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute, Nestor Loi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to More Than Words getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Eustacio Baumar hit a great ball. If Laureano Iyan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, More Than Words's Jorge Vigil got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When the match was over Frontera FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than More Than Words throughout the match.
