Alfredo Xabat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Candido Kismi made a huge save. Candido Kismi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marciano Luken in the 13th minute of the match. Candido Kismi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marciano Luken, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After having played for 36 minutes, Alfredo Xabat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melero AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Xabat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Marciano Luken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Gavino Clis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Melero AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gavino Clis came free, but Norberto Santiago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benigno Oton made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, More Than Words's Benigno Oton dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. If Benigno Oton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivan Chan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Norberto Santiago. Melero AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Melero AFC's zone, Gavino Clis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norberto Santiago came out of the goal and Gavino Clis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Norberto Santiago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benigno Oton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. More Than Words's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
