The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Curumalán's Nicasio Colas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Vistruario in the 3rd minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Arnulfo Egoitz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nicasio Colas, 1-0. Nicasio Colas made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Cesar Urritz sent off a good shot on target. 15 minutes into the match, Me Duele El Higo's goal looked a bit too open when Urbano Vincente came free, but Cristobal Paulin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Zenon Pilarczyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urbano Vincente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristobal Paulin having to interfere. When Curumalán's Urbano Vincente in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Urbano Vincente might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristobal Paulin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Urbano Vincente ran back to his position shaking his head. After 31 minutes, Lucio Etxatxu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Me Duele El Higo and the Curumalán players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zenon Pilarczyk shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 34th match minute, Me Duele El Higo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Vistruario to maneuver through the defense. Curumalán's Zenon Pilarczyk got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th match minute, Me Duele El Higo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Urritz to maneuver through the defense. Curumalán's Urbano Vincente got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristobal Paulin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urbano Vincente in the 42nd minute of play. After having played for 47 minutes, Urbano Vincente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curumalán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urbano Vincente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hermengildo Madaleno to make the kick off. Urbano Vincente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Cristobal Paulin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristobal Paulin was a little too slow when Urbano Vincente got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 2-1. After 69 minutes, Denis Piarres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Curumalán and the Me Duele El Higo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Denis Piarres hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Me Duele El Higo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Curumalán the free kick. The supporters of Curumalán booed when Me Duele El Higo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Vistruario didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Urbano Vincente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Curumalán booed when Me Duele El Higo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Vistruario didn't get a good kick on the ball. Urbano Vincente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 91 minutes into the match, Me Duele El Higo's goal looked a bit too open when Urbano Vincente came free, but Cristobal Paulin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicasio Colas came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Me Duele El Higo's Cesar Urritz. But to his dismay, Cesar Urritz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1.
