Osvaldo Stanislao ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Curitas FC booed when Xeneize Sureño was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eloy Dominguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osvaldo Stanislao's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Rioja read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. When Everardo Mederi fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curitas FC's protests and gave Everardo Mederi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Curitas FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Osvaldo Stanislao who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Benito Rioja when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 25 played minutes Curitas FC got a freekick which was hit by Ulises Burni. Jeremias Tximitx charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeremias Tximitx the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Xeneize Sureño getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ubaldo Guerrero to make the kick off. Pastor Henrico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubaldo Guerrero in the 56th minute of the match. Fausto Ortle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Pastor Henrico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Rioja came out of the goal and Osvaldo Stanislao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ubaldo Guerrero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Pastor Henrico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pastor Henrico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Guerrero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Xeneize Sureño were victorious despite being under pressure from Curitas FC for much of the match.
