After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Rafet Uyguner managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Vino Tinto's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafet Uyguner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arturo Turi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amador Furman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arturo Turi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. After 41 played minutes La Vino Tinto got a freekick which was hit by Arnulfo Piearres. After some careless play in the La Vino Tinto defense, Baltasar George kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niceto Sedeni. The La Vino Tinto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niceto Sedeni should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Martillo Hammer United's Prudencio Evangelista was substituted for Generoso Frasquito. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rafet Uyguner was the one to do the kick off. In the 70th match minute, Martillo Hammer United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herminio Etxahun to maneuver through the defense.
