The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Claypole's Andres Cilio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efrain Gabon in the 8th minute of play. Arturo Turi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Pudes in the 10th minute of play. Edgardo Cordero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arturo Turi having to make a save. In the 20th minute, Edgardo Cordero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benito Virila hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Martillo Hammer United's Aquiles Azibar got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baltasar George got free with Andres Cilio in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Martillo Hammer United's attentive Efrain Gabon managed to snatch the ball when Edgard Benvide made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. Efrain Gabon might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andres Cilio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Efrain Gabon ran back to his position shaking his head. 38 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Lobo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Martillo Hammer United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Claypole the free kick. The supporters of Claypole booed when Martillo Hammer United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Lobo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martillo Hammer United's Ambrosio Sal was substituted for Rigoberto Lobo. After a rather tough play, Martillo Hammer United's Rigoberto Lobo got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 42nd match minute, Martillo Hammer United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Gabon to maneuver through the defense. Herminio Etxahun charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Herminio Etxahun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Martillo Hammer United made a substitution. Prudencio Evangelista replaced Generoso Frasquito. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Herminio Etxahun to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baltasar George in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andres Cilio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Martillo Hammer United's Arturo Turi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Cordero in the 58th minute of play. Efrain Gabon hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Andres Cilio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltasar George, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, Martillo Hammer United's goalkeeper Arturo Turi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Severo Ugutz. Carolo Kauldi hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. If Efrain Gabon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carolo Kauldi made in the 88th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Claypole's Fernan Ascencio. Severo Ugutz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Turi having to interfere. Claypole's Fernan Ascencio managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Carolo Kauldi in the 93 minute of the game. Arturo Turi made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Severo Ugutz sent off a good shot on target. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
