After 4 played minutes Nothingham City got a freekick which was hit by Roman Blasco. 5 minutes into the match, Deportivo VIlla Elisa's Tiburcio Omero broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 6 minutes into the game, Nothingham City's Marciano Vermudo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Prospero Vasco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Marciano Vermudo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Prospero Vasco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Aquiles Quirze recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roman Blasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Prospero Vasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rogelio Poncio struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Anselmo Txindoki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo VIlla Elisa. Aquiles Quirze scored 1-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anselmo Txindoki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aquiles Quirze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Nothingham City's Lázaro Cutberto got a free kick in the 38th minute. 43 minutes into the game, Nothingham City's Marciano Vermudo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Prospero Vasco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rogelio Poncio was the one to do the kick off. Aquiles Quirze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Anselmo Txindoki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marciano Vermudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leon Lalla during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st minute there was a penalty for Nothingham City. Gonzalo Abadie stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Prospero Vasco. 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo VIlla Elisa's zone, Lázaro Cutberto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prospero Vasco came out of the goal and Lázaro Cutberto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marciano Vermudo hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, Deportivo VIlla Elisa's Rogelio Poncio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Anselmo Txindoki. Anselmo Txindoki yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. Nothingham City's Anselmo Txindoki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Nothingham City from getting a goal against them. Santos Baristo hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Marciano Vermudo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nothingham City's supporters rose to their feet, but Marciano Vermudo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prospero Vasco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Siro Evarado came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Nothingham City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siro Evarado couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Deportivo VIlla Elisa getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Astor Frisco hit a great ball. Marciano Vermudo struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Prospero Vasco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nothingham City. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Nothingham City fully deserved thier win.
