Rogelio Poncio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Medardo having to interfere. Alberto Medardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Poncio, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute, Rogelio Poncio made a precise shot to the right of Alberto Medardo. Tambillos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Silvio Bikendi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. In the 27th minute of the match Tambillos got a corner. Deportivo VIlla Elisa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vicente Handi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Alberto Medardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogelio Poncio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Prospero Vasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Salbatore in the 40th minute of play. The Tambillos players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Deportivo VIlla Elisa were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvio Bikendi to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Tambillos's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Poncio came free, but Alberto Medardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Rogelio Poncio came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Deportivo VIlla Elisa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Poncio couldn't finish the play. Prospero Vasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvio Bikendi in the 77th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Felipe Hitzeder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Diego Salbatore fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tambillos's protests and gave Diego Salbatore a yellow card for diving instead. Diego Salbatore hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. A hard shot 88 in the game by Aquiles Quirze from a close distance when the talented Alberto Medardo managed to make a qualified save. Tambillos's players were relieved. When the final whistle sounded Deportivo VIlla Elisa left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tambillos.
