Celso Gimenez started the match with the kick off. Suipacha's Siro Goizeder got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Victor Cresitobalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelio Quilo's late challenge caught a Famaillá's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aurelio Quilo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Famaillá booed when Suipacha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Quilo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Suipacha's zone, Celso Gimenez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eloy Nastasio came out of the goal and Celso Gimenez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Suipacha's Eloy Nastasio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Suipacha from getting a goal against them. Suipacha's Victor Cresitobalo got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Suipacha getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Aurelio Quilo hit a great ball. Osvaldo Odilon's late challenge caught a Famaillá's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvaldo Odilon helped the player get up and apologised. Osvaldo Odilon kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. When Aurelio Quilo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 33 minutes had been played. Aurelio Quilo hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute of the match Joel Galeno sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eloy Nastasio skillfully saved the ball. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Famaillá's goalkeeper Sebastian Eliu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Gimenez in the 40th minute of play forced Suipacha's goalkeeper Eloy Nastasio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celso Gimenez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Celso Gimenez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Famaillá's supporters rose to their feet, but Celso Gimenez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eloy Nastasio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Suipacha were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Eusebio Medardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eloy Nastasio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. If Braulio Virila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Suipacha's Honorato Errando got a free kick in the 60th minute. Eusebio Medardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eloy Nastasio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eusebio Medardo ran back to his position shaking his head. When Eusebio Medardo came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Famaillá fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusebio Medardo couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Siro Goizeder got free with Sebastian Eliu in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Celso Gimenez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Nastasio having to interfere. If Eusebio Medardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Siro Goizeder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute, Alvaro Bernad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Famaillá supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Suipacha's performance. The match ended with a win for Suipacha.
