The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute of the match Mateo Arnas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rolando Lander skillfully saved the ball. Eusebio Peruanton came free with the goalkeeper in the 7th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and German Irrintzi could save by the left post. Arnoldo Celio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Lander having to interfere. Pituil's German Irrintzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Noe in the 17th minute of play. German Irrintzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Noe in the 20th minute of the match. The supporters of Vergara FC booed when Pituil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guaberto Belarmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolando Lander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Nastasio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Vergara FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Daniel Oihan hit a great ball. Rolando Lander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Nastasio in the 30th minute of play. Arnoldo Celio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Nastasio in the 35th minute of play forced Vergara FC's goalkeeper Rolando Lander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Pituil's Guaberto Belarmo got a free kick in the 38th minute. Patricio Nastasio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Rolando Lander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vergara FC's Rafael Noe got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 49 minutes in the game, Eusebio Peruanton fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without German Irrintzi having to interfere. Rafael Noe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Noe in the 56th minute of play forced Pituil's goalkeeper German Irrintzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the game, Damaso Deunoro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vergara FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pituil the free kick. Damaso Deunoro kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Mateo Arnas got in the 64th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Rolando Lander. This was a shot which ended in a score of 0-1. After 68 minutes of play, Vergara FC's Rafael Noe made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. German Irrintzi was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Eusebio Peruanton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. German Irrintzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Noe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Pituil's zone, Eusebio Peruanton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. German Irrintzi came out of the goal and Eusebio Peruanton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rafael Noe struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. German Irrintzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vergara FC. Patricio Nastasio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the match, Vergara FC's goalkeeper Rolando Lander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patricio Nastasio. In the 84th minute Arnoldo Celio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Lander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Noe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without German Irrintzi having to interfere.
