Spectators: 7185 (Terracing: 5391, Seating: 1652, VIP seats: 142) Flavio Fero made the kick off and thus started the match. Flavio Fero took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Truylos. Julio Truylos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Julio Truylos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Goito in the 12th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Javier Asier during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Javier Asier hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Aaron Goito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Truylos having to interfere. Julio Truylos came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by River Plate's Flavio Fero. But to his dismay, Flavio Fero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Qc Qliau's Bruno Hanni got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Aaron Goito managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Aaron Goito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Truylos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Qc Qliau's Julio Truylos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Fero in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Moises Handi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute Flavio Fero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Truylos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Flavio Fero managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavio Fero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After some careless play in the Qc Qliau defense, Aaron Goito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Truylos. The Qc Qliau fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Truylos should have stopped the shot. Dalmacio Tab stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tadeo Meder's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. If Bruno Hanni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Angelino Gaizkine got a free kick in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tadeo Meder to strike the kick off in the second half. Qc Qliau's Guillermo Iliana was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dalmacio Tab in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 60th minute Flavio Fero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Truylos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Bruno Hanni left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Qc Qliau fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. River Plate's Dalmacio Tab played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Handi in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Tadeo Meder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute, Angelino Gaizkine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Hanni in the 76th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Dalmacio Tab to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Qc Qliau's Tadeo Meder sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dalmacio Tab narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tadeo Meder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Dalmacio Tab tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tadeo Meder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Bruno Hanni came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Qc Qliau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Hanni couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute, Bruno Hanni left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Qc Qliau fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. River Plate had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
