But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mateo Herrera couldn't finish the play. Emilio Vellito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vladimiro Txatxu's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. If Jeronimo Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeronimo Barbosa in the 97th minute of play forced Lagunilla AFC's goalkeeper Emilio Vellito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Despite being the better team, La vuelta en Globo failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
