The audience was convinced that Celso Fidencio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eduardo Tano was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Leon Ourente struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Eduardo Tano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Pandilla. In the 10th match minute, La Pandilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Fidencio to maneuver through the defense. But to his dismay, Mateo Aimar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Gilberto Orti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Tano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Fidencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute, Aristides Su hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celso Fidencio in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eduardo Tano saved michitos from getting behind. Leo Lizbeth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Genaro Quilo in the 37th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mateo Aimar to make the kick off. Leo Lizbeth had in the 52ndth minute some difficulties stopping Mateo Aimar's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Eduardo Tano was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Leon Ourente capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leon Ourente really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. In the 60th minute Leon Ourente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Tano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. michitos's Eduardo Tano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Fidencio in the 62nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as La Pandilla's Gilberto Orti slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eduardo Tano. That made the score 1-3 after 67 minutes of play. Gilberto Orti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Eduardo Tano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leon Ourente charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leon Ourente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of michitos booed when La Pandilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Ourente didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81stth minute of the game Leon Ourente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but michitos's Eduardo Tano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Fidencio in the 83rd minute of play forced michitos's goalkeeper Eduardo Tano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the michitos defense, Celso Fidencio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eduardo Tano. The michitos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eduardo Tano should have stopped the shot. 96 minutes into the match, La Pandilla's goal looked a bit too open when Mateo Aimar came free, but Leo Lizbeth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. La Pandilla's Leo Lizbeth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cirilo Gora in the 97th minute of play.
