An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Maule in the 12th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Isidro Laurentzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Oalo came free, but Isidro Laurentzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Silvio Rencio hit a great ball. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Isidro Laurentzi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 20 minutes in the game, Feliciano Quirze fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rafael Faro having to interfere. Ismael Oalo might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidro Laurentzi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ismael Oalo ran back to his position shaking his head. Feliciano Quirze came free in the 27th minute and tried to tip the ball over Rafael Faro, but to the joy of Araujo AFC's supporters the ball went over. In the 35th minute, Silvio Rencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silvio Rencio struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Rafael Faro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Juniors. After 41 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Feliciano Quirze. Roque Ekialde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidro Laurentzi having to interfere. After 48 minutes, Matias Maule mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Araujo AFC and the Boca Juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Araujo AFC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Matias Maule hit a great ball. After the first half Araujo AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Feliciano Quirze to strike the kick off in the second half. Matias Maule struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Isidro Laurentzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Araujo AFC. If Ismael Oalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismael Oalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Isidro Laurentzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 59 minutes, Ismael Oalo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Araujo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ismael Oalo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 1-1 came in the 64th minute when Feliciano Quirze all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Rafael Faro. In the 67th minute, Matias Maule hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 68 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Irrintzi. Ismael Oalo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Isidro Laurentzi made a huge save. Isidro Laurentzi was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Matias Maule capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Matias Maule really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Matias Maule managed to get in a good position for a shot. Araujo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Matias Maule was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isidro Laurentzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Araujo AFC's zone, Feliciano Quirze stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Faro came out of the goal and Feliciano Quirze tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isidro Laurentzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matias Maule, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The audience was convinced that Matias Maule's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isidro Laurentzi was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Alejandro Irrintzi came free in the 86th minute and tried to tip the ball over Rafael Faro, but to the joy of Araujo AFC's supporters the ball went over. Silvio Rencio might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafael Faro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
