Spectators: 7229 (Terracing: 5423, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Edgardo Gizon made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rodero's goalkeeper Jimeno Dolfo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gaspar Firmin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Telo in the 8th minute of play. A collision led to Rodero getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Reynaldo Luzaide hit a great ball. Edgardo Gizon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jimeno Dolfo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hector Richie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Justino Richie during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Rodero booed when Gómez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justino Richie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Delmiro Herensuge, 21 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Gómez's goalkeeper Gaspar Firmin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Freddy Sazon. 27 minutes into the game, Rodero's Freddy Sazon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gaspar Firmin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Victor Telo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rodero's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Telo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaspar Firmin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victor Telo to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristobal Roland hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Edgardo Gizon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gómez's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgardo Gizon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jimeno Dolfo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jimeno Dolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Gizon, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Victor Telo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gaspar Firmin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Victor Telo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Telo in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaspar Firmin saved Gómez from getting behind. Freddy Sazon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Gaspar Firmin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaspar Firmin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristo Ibar in the 81st minute of play. When Freddy Sazon came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Rodero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddy Sazon couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute of the match, Hector Richie got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jimeno Dolfo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the referee ended the match the Rodero players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
