Guaberto Mikelar scored 1-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Godofredo Gaizko, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Celso Sidro's late challenge caught a Larroque's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celso Sidro helped the player get up and apologised. Celso Sidro kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. If Feliberto Ferdinand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Eduardo Ourente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute Guaberto Mikelar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godofredo Gaizko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Godofredo Gaizko came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Durazno FC's Guaberto Mikelar. But to his dismay, Guaberto Mikelar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Guaberto Mikelar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Durazno FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guaberto Mikelar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Godofredo Gaizko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 46 minutes into the match, Larroque's goal looked a bit too open when Feliberto Ferdinand came free, but Godofredo Gaizko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Victoriano Hegoi came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Larroque fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victoriano Hegoi couldn't finish the play. Larroque's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victoriano Hegoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Feliberto Ferdinand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godofredo Gaizko having to interfere. Feliberto Ferdinand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Godofredo Gaizko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Feliberto Ferdinand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
