Herminio Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severo Perez having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Deportivo SACAEMPATE's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Shantala came free, but Evaristo Ganix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severo Perez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herminio Furtado in the 29th minute. Silvano Oinatz's late challenge caught a Deportivo SACAEMPATE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvano Oinatz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 33rd minute, Silvano Oinatz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Deportivo SACAEMPATE's Damian Birila broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Deportivo SACAEMPATE booed when Los Lesionados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santos Gaztea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severo Perez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herminio Furtado in the 37th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Los Lesionados's zone, Reynaldo Bordat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severo Perez came out of the goal and Reynaldo Bordat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evaristo Ganix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Chorache, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. If Herminio Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deportivo SACAEMPATE's Herminio Furtado got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Herminio Furtado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Deportivo SACAEMPATE booed when Los Lesionados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Ganix made an important save on a dangerous shot by Domingo Chorache in the 70th minute. Severo Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herminio Furtado in the 74th minute of play. Deportivo SACAEMPATE's Evaristo Ganix proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo SACAEMPATE from getting a goal against them. Paolo Darien charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 95th minute, Herminio Furtado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Deportivo SACAEMPATE fans cheered their team off the field, for while Los Lesionados had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
