Alfredo Amato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Juan Nalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of QUILMES FC booed when Espirillos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Castulo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Denis Cordara fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Espirillos's protests and gave Denis Cordara a yellow card for diving instead. Denis Cordara hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Primitivo Erramu came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Espirillos's Antonio Sabin. But to his dismay, Antonio Sabin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 32 minutes into the game, QUILMES FC's Alfredo Amato nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juan Nalo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Primitivo Erramu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Beltza, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 38 played minutes Espirillos got a freekick which was hit by Dalmacio Sanduru. 42 minutes into the game, Martin Menendo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. QUILMES FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espirillos the free kick. A collision led to QUILMES FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciriaco Xabier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, QUILMES FC's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Sabin came free, but Primitivo Erramu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute, Francisco Txartiko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dalmacio Sanduru took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Primitivo Erramu. QUILMES FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. QUILMES FC's Primitivo Erramu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Sabin in the 67th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo Beltza in the 69th minute of play forced QUILMES FC's goalkeeper Primitivo Erramu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Primitivo Erramu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Beltza in the 74th minute of play. Tiburcio Faron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 82 minutes of play, QUILMES FC's Tiburcio Faron made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Nalo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ciriaco Xabier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Nalo having to interfere. The QUILMES FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing QUILMES FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
