The Gonzalo Castelli FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victorio Petrigai should have stopped the shot. In the 22nd minute of the match, Cayetano Oliveiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alfredo Blasi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 26th minute Orlando Fanuco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorio Petrigai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cayetano Oliveiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cornelio Mannies short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Alfredo Blasi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cornelio Mannie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgilio Ostargi hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Cayetano Oliveiro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 45th minute. Gonzalo Castelli FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornelio Mannie in the 58th minute of play forced Polyplast's goalkeeper Alfredo Blasi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benigno Loco during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 68th minute, Benigno Loco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st match minute, Polyplast was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Gudesteo to maneuver through the defense. Gonzalo Castelli FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cayetano Oliveiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benigno Loco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Angel Firme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Alfredo Blasi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virgilio Ostargi in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victorio Petrigai saved Gonzalo Castelli FC from getting behind. 93 minutes into the match, Polyplast's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelio Mannie came free, but Alfredo Blasi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Polyplast supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Polyplast would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
