Hipatía's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rumios the free kick. In the 39th minute, Romulo Monico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rumios's Marcial Mikelar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermegildo Pereyra in the 41st minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oscar Endura to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Rumios's Ambrosio Admon got a free kick in the 51st minute. Marcial Mikelar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustino Gorka in the 53rd minute of play. If Oscar Endura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, Rumios's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Endura came free, but Marcial Mikelar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rumios's Isaias Chayo got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 60 played minutes Hipatía got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Barbosa. In the 64th match minute, Hipatía was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romulo Monico to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Gorka in the 69th minute of play forced Rumios's goalkeeper Marcial Mikelar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hipatía's Faustino Gorka got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Erubiel Urko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ambrosio Admon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Rumios booed when Hipatía was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermegildo Pereyra didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 83 minutes, Erubiel Urko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rumios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erubiel Urko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Hipatía's goalkeeper Enzo Ciano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ambrosio Admon. Hipatía's Faustino Gorka got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th match minute, Rumios was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erubiel Urko to maneuver through the defense. Faustino Gorka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Marcial Mikelar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hipatía were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Rumios for a fine match.
