The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gavino Argi during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of de locos booed when El comandante was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavino Argi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aureliano Oriche's late challenge caught a El comandante's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aureliano Oriche helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes de locos got a freekick which was hit by Aureliano Oriche. If Haroldo Rio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, de locos's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Guillermo Segio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With a little luck, El comandante's Cesar Poncio got control of the ball when Haroldo Rio tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in de locos's zone, Melchor Aznaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Elizardo came out of the goal and Melchor Aznaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Haroldo Rio came free with the goalkeeper in the 63rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cesar Poncio could save by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Antonio Urtsin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cesar Poncio. That made the score 0-2 in the 66 minute of play. If Mario Endura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesar Poncio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Americo Oalo in the 78th minute of play. Serafino Tximitx blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Elizardo having to make a save. Americo Oalo charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Americo Oalo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Americo Oalo hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Gavino Argi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Julio Elizardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, de locos's Mario Endura ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cesar Poncio. Cesar Poncio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3.
