Florencio Monico was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 14th minute. A.A.L.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 19th match minute, Club Atletico La Docena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Dino to maneuver through the defense. Dionisio Macias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Club Atletico La Docena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Niva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A.A.L.C.'s Gervasio Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Niva in the 39th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Saturnino Ledesma managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico La Docena's supporters rose to their feet, but Saturnino Ledesma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gervasio Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roman Cedro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dionisio Macias, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Saturnino Ledesma to make the kick off. If Fausto Niva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 58 minutes into the match, A.A.L.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Saturnino Ledesma came free, but Gervasio Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reynaldo Laurgain's late challenge caught a Club Atletico La Docena's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saturnino Ledesma might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gervasio Barros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saturnino Ledesma ran back to his position shaking his head. Haroldo Erruki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
