Melchor Rioja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelino Loramendi in the 39th minute of the match. Angelino Loramendi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Melchor Rioja successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angelino Loramendi to make the kick off. With his leg Cristobal Gaufred managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Four Horsemen's Zlatan Palermo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Four Horsemen booed when Instituto Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Pasqual didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 65 played minutes Instituto Plate got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Pasqual. Segundo Ebardo charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Four Horsemen's Severino Roderigo got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 80th play minutes Zlatan Palermo shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Cristobal Gaufred and just under the crossbar into goal. The audience was convinced that Zlatan Palermo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristobal Gaufred was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. When Four Horsemen's Zlatan Palermo in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
