Epifanio Sugoi came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Griever FC's Samuel Leizarraga. But to his dismay, Samuel Leizarraga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 9th minute, Samuel Leizarraga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Epifanio Sugoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 15 minutes into the match, Devoto's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Leizarraga came free, but Epifanio Sugoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Albano Sindo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Sugoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Artemio Transito came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Griever FC fans jumped to their feet. Carolo Perrando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torbjörn Svensson, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The Devoto players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Griever FC were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuel Leizarraga was the one to do the kick off. Torbjörn Svensson took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carolo Perrando. Carolo Perrando dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Albano Sindo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Epifanio Sugoi made a huge save. Torbjörn Svensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Carolo Perrando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gregorio Ugutz during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gregorio Ugutz hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Torbjörn Svensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Marcelo Kinsen charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Ruperto Cibran kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Devoto's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Leizarraga came free, but Epifanio Sugoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Devoto's Elton John seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Elton John the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Devoto protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Elton John had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Jonas Ermengol struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Epifanio Sugoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Griever FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torbjörn Svensson in the 87th minute of play forced Griever FC's goalkeeper Carolo Perrando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Torbjörn Svensson came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Devoto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torbjörn Svensson couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Kenan Kaçan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Devoto's supporters rose to their feet, but Kenan Kaçan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carolo Perrando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Torbjörn Svensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carolo Perrando having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Devoto lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
