After 3 played minutes Espinillo got a freekick which was hit by Everardo Loren. Espinillo's Francisco Cheche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicasio Venerando in the 6th minute of play. Virgilio Napier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Chucho having to interfere. Hugo Refugio's late challenge caught a Espinillo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Refugio helped the player get up and apologised. Hugo Refugio hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Deportivo Chaco's Silvestre Chucho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Chinto in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute Nicasio Venerando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Cheche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Cheche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicasio Venerando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luciano Jurgi got free with Francisco Cheche in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Deportivo Chaco were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Espinillo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fausto Columbo took the corner. After taking down the ball on Deportivo Chaco's corner Fausto Columbo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Francisco Cheche quite easily take care of the ball. If Teodoro Chinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Hugo Refugio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teodoro Chinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Chucho having to interfere. 37 minutes into the game, Espinillo's Teodoro Chinto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvestre Chucho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Silvestre Chucho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Napier, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. If Teodoro Chinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgilio Napier took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvestre Chucho. Silvestre Chucho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Virgilio Napier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gavino Paez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Francisco Cheche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodoro Chinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Chaco's zone, Teodoro Chinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvestre Chucho came out of the goal and Teodoro Chinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Virgilio Napier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Silvestre Chucho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute Virgilio Napier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Chucho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo Chaco's Silvestre Chucho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Napier in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Espinillo's goalkeeper Francisco Cheche, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nicasio Venerando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Cheche having to interfere. The supporters of Deportivo Chaco booed when Espinillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uriel Tanio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luciano Jurgi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Cheche having to interfere. Silvestre Chucho made a fantastic save in the 99th minute, when Teodoro Chinto sent off a good shot on target. The Deportivo Chaco fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Espinillo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
