Iacob Petruț came out of the goal and Leonides Chaime tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iacob Petruț made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diego Baudelio in the 33rd minute. Anselmo Odilon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Darwen Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Chaime came free, but Iacob Petruț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Leonides Chaime fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lomitas's protests and gave Leonides Chaime a yellow card for diving instead. Leonides Chaime kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. During the 45th minute of the match Leonides Chaime completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Leonides Chaime a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 46th match minute, Lomitas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonides Chaime to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diego Baudelio made a kick off. Lomitas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Braulio Urtats scored to the left of an out of position Anibal Burni, making the score, 0-1. Gonzalo Kimetz hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Darwen Football Club's Iacob Petruț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Herena in the 61st minute of play. In the 75th minute Anselmo Odilon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anibal Burni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lomitas's goalkeeper Anibal Burni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Anselmo Odilon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Darwen Football Club left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lomitas.
